Beneath the Darkest Hour

All the dancing roses
In the shivering plain.
All the agony had conceded
As you call out my name.

Calm the startled river
In the quivering storm.
Of all places to remember
Where else could you have gone?

You kept a promise
That we will strike
Upon the hordes of the unknown.
But now you have left
For me to distort
Beneath the darkest hour.
